	Our new Pet of the Month is Cierra. Cierra is an outgoing little girl who loves to play and loves to snuggle. She is a great size and would make a great family dog. She was hit by a car and has recovered but has a little limp, but it doesn't stop her! She is full of life and full of mischief!

VHS on a Mission

80 dogs and 27 cats

This is the number of animals that have been rescued and adopted since January this year.

This success is due to the extraordinary people that help us make this happen. VHS wants to continue saving lives and we need your help!

PLEASE donate to our "TRAVEL FUND" and help us get these animals up to their homes.

Because many puppies and kittens go to foster homes first; we need to find a way to pay for them to travel. It is 150$ a cage to fly!

Your donation directly goes to their travel therefore giving these animals a chance at life!

VHS Gets a New Facelift!

The childrens group MANTA came to VHS to paint informative billboards and what a job they did!

Information on kitten and puppy care, horse care, and general health and safety are now issues people can read about when they are entering VHS.

OTHER NEWS

VHS had a successful Spay-a-thon July 11th and 12th with just about 100 animals spayed and neutered! Thank you Veterinarians for donating your time and thank you to all the volunteers!

VHS hopes to continue with low cost spay and neuter programs through out the year for Vieques.

Our new horse stall will allow us to take care of sick or injured horses on the property and have a safe place away from the dogs.

Our new cat house is done! We have all the cats living happily in their new home where they can lounge in a quiet home inside our outside. The inside was painted by the Conservation Trust's student group Manta and it looks wonderful!!
